"Bearing death"
In February of this year Russian company MC Entertainment, basically engaged in distribution of the Japanese cartoon films «аниме», has let out on DVD the American film of horrors «Bearing death» (in the original – «Tamara»). In the West the release of this picture is planned for May of this year the Russian release a little than differs from the future American (its characteristics are already published) – neither in that, nor in other there are no especially interesting additional materials. Nevertheless, it is rather pleasant, that the Russian "preschedule" release of a film has not affected in any way quality DVD, which offers a good sound (Russian synchronous 5.1, English 5.1) and qualitative анаморфированное the image. For these separate thanks MC Entertainment (by the way, this company always differed release on the market enough good production).
So, about a film. Its plot, a full cliche, is banal and already rather "is beaten". In it there is a speech about modest, imperceptible American senior pupil Tamara (and it is not clear why our distributors have changed the name; probably, have counted its too ordinary), living together with the father-alcoholic and writing article in the local newspaper. It was object of constant sneers and mockeries from schoolmates until in the newspaper have not printed its note about the schoolboys-sportsmen abusing a dope. Since this moment the present persecution of the girl which as a result has led to its casual destruction was developed. Yes, we have forgotten to inform, that Tamara (it the young actress Dzhenna Djuen earlier working on подтанцовке at Dzhanet Jackson) during lifetime convincingly enough plays practised "black" magic and tried to "charm" various spells the teacher (Matthew Marsden, had time to "be lighted" in «the Black hawk» Ridley Skotta and «to the Anaconda 2» Дуайта Литтла) to which secretly tested tender feelings. The love spell also has returned it by a life already self-assured, defiantly putting on beauty who began to revenge severely to all its offenders.
Reading these lines, it seemed nothing to you? What you already saw this film? Except numerous hand-made articles about «the disgusting duckling», turned to a fine angel to sweep, "Tamara" certainly has strongly something in common with «Кэрри», ingenious Bryan De Palma's magnificent film with Сисси Спэйсек. We do not set as an object to compare these two products – alas, on all parametres of an abacus it will be unequivocal not in favour of "Tamara". And still it is not necessary definitively «to write off it in breakage» - a picture entertaining enough from the genre point of view, there are some remembered terrible scenes (for example, a naturalistic episode with «саморасчлененкой» one of schoolboys), and Дженна Дюэн in a title role is rather good (in all senses). Besides as a script writer the author of the known trilogy the "Destination" now working over the scenario of a remake «Day of dead persons» of legendary George Romero has acted Джеффри Реддик.
